Case Study
Name: Lottie
Breed: Cavalier King Charles Spaniel
Age: 8 years old
Reason for Hydrotherapy
Hind Leg Lameness
Sweet little rescue dog Lottie started swimming at Bluewaters Canine Hydrotherapy in Worcestershire in July this year. Her problems include moderate hip dysplasia, grade 1 patella luxation (RH) and arthritic changes (LH). Lottie had a good first session, extending her legs well. Starting with 4 minutes plus rests, over the eleven sessions Lottie has done she has increased her time in the water to 11 minutes. We have noted that she rolls her hips when swimming though works her legs well. Lottie’s muscle mass has increased by 3cm on her right hind and 2cm on her left hind. Lottie’s owner reports that she has not been limping, lowered her pain relief and overall is delighted with her progress.
Lottie had an appointment with her vet today and I’m really happy to say that he was so pleased with the progress she has made due to brilliant work from your team! I am smiling from ear to ear and am so glad that through you my Lottie is doing so well. Can you pass on our big thankyou’s to the girls please?
